Nakia
 Robinson

Author

Nakia Robinson is an author, writer and Baltimore, Maryland native. She spent over 15 years in the healthcare industry as a claims adjudicator. Nakia’s day-to-day experiences in her job were beyond stressful and led her to take up writing as a way to find joy and support her mental and emotional health.

Over the years, Nakia developed her craft and passion for writing, but found it difficult to get representation that would maintain the authenticity and integrity of her novels. In June 2013, Nakia launched Right About It Publications to protect the original content and intention of Black fiction authors’ work and to create a hub for stories that allow people not just to read novels, but to experience and feel the scenes as cinema quality. That same year, Nakia wrote and published her first book, You Call That Love -- a story about a woman who experiences different facets of love and insecurities -- and three additional books in the series (Love Me Right, Love Will Never Do and All 4 Love). Nakia’s books are beloved by local readers from the nation’s capital to neighborhoods in Baltimore.

To date, Right About It Publications has released 8 books.

Influenced by music, Nakia titles her books and chapters after love songs.
